Helsinki Region has been awarded the seventh place in the fDI Strategy Awards 2016. The biannual assessment lists the cities and regions within Europe for foreign direct investment (FDI) attractiveness. The ranking has become a benchmark of competitiveness in Europe with awards going to cities all over the world for their efforts to promote, attract and retain investment.

Helsinki holds seventh place in the ranking on the top 10 list for return on personnel investments in 2016. Also the Region’s SME support and the work on HBH (Helsinki Business Hub) has been mentioned in particular in the report. To see the listing and to read the report, click here.
